David Brammeld RBA
Grey Day, Late Autumn, pastel, A1

David works in two main subject areas: Natural Landscape and the Urban Built Environment. He is a professional artist and art tutor and exhibits internationally. In 2021 he has been in exhibitions in the UK, France, US, Moscow, Russia and South Korea. "My treescapes explore my lifelong fascination with the form and character of trees," he says. "I produce works in pastel (mostly in large format), and smaller acrylic paintings. I also work in graphite, charcoal and mixed media. I do a lot of experimental and exploratory work which I find both exciting and essential to enable me to push my work forward. My urban work documents and explores how heritage is mostly left to decay in a post-industrial world where old meets new and history is forgotten and our connections to the past are lost." David is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA), the UK Pastel Society (PS), both based at Mall Galleries, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA), Société de Pastellistes de France (SPDF), Manchester Academy of Fine Arts (MAFA). His new book Creative Drawing Techniques was published by Crowood Press in September 2021, featuring over 300 illustrations. Price £18.99.
