Christine attended art college aged 16, trained and worked originally as a potter, then as an interior designer and later as a landscape architect. Having always worked in the field of art and design she began her painting career about 20 years ago. Christine insists watercolour is not a gentle insipid medium, unforgiving in nature, that has to be used in a traditional manner. She sees watercolour as a vibrant and beautifully translucent medium capable of creating strong images often in combination with other materials. Christine, who lives in a traditional croft house near the village of Edderton, north of Inverness, has exhibited in and around Inverness with great success. She has also exhibited in London, Edinburgh and other galleries throughout Scotland.
