"It is always the light that fascinates me," says Jennifer, who studied at St Martins School of Art in the '60s. "The movement on water, the play of light and the subtle change of colour with every hour of the day. Whether it be on the sea, a beach, in a garden, or a portrait. My subject matter always involves the play of light on colour. Composition is an important factor and my design and photography background was a good grounding for fine art painting." Jennifer paints whatever she finds interesting but she is probably best known for her West Country, sea and beach subjects - especially Salcombe. "I work usually from life and plein air and as far as I can remember have always drawn and used paints." Jennifer has exhibited nationally on many occasions with the RDA (age 8), the RA, NEAC, ROI, SEA and SWA. Jennifer accepts commissions of portraits, equestrian subjects and beach scenes.
