The big red lips of the face at left were found and purchased in Marks and Spencer (biscuit tin) and were the start of this picture “Happy New Year” by Richard Blacklaw-Jones.

Renowned Welsh Artist Richard Blacklaw-Jones is having a show of a new body of work at Haverhub in Haverfordwest. Known as Wales’s premier POP artist, Richard makes his pictures from found man-made materials which he gathers from the environment. “I’ll take my materials where I find them but they mostly come from various beaches. I also find materials in Haverfordwest’s streets and have been known to buy a tin of beer just to get the tin and use it in a picture.” 

December 8, 2025 onwards

4pm to 6pm Richard Blacklaw-Jones, Black Cat Bar, 102 Rose Lane, Mossley Hill, Liverpool. www.blackcatbar.co.uk. For this small show Richard has used a combination of beer related materials (donated by the Black Cat Bar) and materials found on Liverpool's famous Brick beach.
