Garry Davidson is a skilled writer and poet, a master of word play and double entendre. If Sniffer Dog, Robin Hood, British BBQ, A Cockney Night Out (with subtitles), Flowers, Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself and The Blind Man do not make you laugh, you’re a lost cause and there’s no hope. Garry’s work is a great tonic and really lifts the spirits. His debut poetry collection is Averse to Poetry.

MARGARET HUGHES

In A Time of Reflection, the West Sussex poet Margaret Hughes provides an insightful commentary on the challenges of the last few years in verse. Covid lockdowns and the death of Prince Philip, the seasons, hat making, the Bishop's Palace Gardens and West Dean Gardens have all inspired Margaret's engaging poetry.

FRANK McMAHON

I live in Cirencester, am married with two children and six grandchildren. My professional career was in Social Work and Welfare. I have six books of poems: Not Born to Rule, Joining the Ring, The Canticles of Spring, The Light Will Always Return (published by Tim Saunders Publications), At The Storm’s Edge and A Different Land, published by Palewell Press, the second published in 2022. I have won the Gloucestershire Writers Network first prize for poetry. I have also been published in Acumen and have had more work accepted by Indigo Dreams. Previous work has appeared in The Cannon’s Mouth, Riggwelter, Morphrog, Brittlestar, The Curlew, Makarelle, Writeresque, Erbacce, I am not a Silent Poet, Fly on the Wall and Voices for the Silent. In 2021 and 2023, I read at Cheltenham Poetry Festival and Cheltenham Literary Festival in 2022 and 2023.
