In 2021 Linda was elected an associate of the Royal Watercolour Society. She works in water based mixed media and won The Artist Prize in the RWS Contemporary Watercolour Competition 2020. Her theme is the built environment and the passage of time - decay, weathering, adaptation, repair and construction. "I find London inspiring, exploring the collage of textures as modern structures engulf the architecture of previous centuries," she says. "Visual texture in my paintings is important and I am excited by the unpredictable marks produced by the physical properties of watercolour and different paper surfaces. I sometimes collage different paper textures, tearing back and scratching the paper surface repeatedly producing rich layered effects." Linda has exhibited widely including the Mall and Bankside galleries in London. Her Pendeen Clifftop was described by Making a Mark blog as one of the best 10 paintings in the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition 2019. In 2019 Linda organised the Reading Gaol Hug - surrounding the Gaol with about 1,000 people linking hands campaigning to save it as a cultural centre and museum.
